Based on the 2018-19 cohort, the college ranks #1 in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley for transfer success and #3 statewide in three-year transfer rates.

The Chancellor鈥檚 Office new data dashboard Data Vista tracks the transfer success of students who earned 12 or more units, exited the community college system, and enrolled in a four-year institution the following academic year. 人民瓜报鈥檚 impressive transfer rate highlights its dedication to student success, academic excellence, and providing pathways for students to continue their education at top-tier universities.

人民瓜报 stands out in the Bay Area, with a remarkable 17% three-year transfer rate, far surpassing other colleges in the region. In Silicon Valley, the college continues to lead, reflecting its strategic location and close ties with local industries and universities. This achievement is a testament to the college鈥檚 innovative academic programs, strong student support services, and partnerships with universities such as San Jose State University, UC Berkeley, and Stanford.

The Chancellor鈥檚 Office data underscores the critical role that community colleges like 人民瓜报 play in providing access to higher education opportunities, particularly in regions with a high demand for skilled professionals. As the need for college graduates continues to grow, 人民瓜报鈥檚 success in transferring students to four-year institutions ensures its graduates are well-prepared for the competitive workforce.

人民瓜报 provides a range of programs to support transfer students, including personalized counseling, academic advising, and strong university partnerships. The college offers Transfer Admission Guarantees (TAGs) with select University of California (UC), Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU), private, and out-of-state universities, ensuring priority application review, early admission notification, and guidance on major prep and GE courses. Additionally, West Valley offers 32 Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADTs)鈥攎ore than any other college in the South Bay鈥攇uaranteeing a pathway to the California State University (CSU) system. Students earning an AA-T or AS-T degree are guaranteed admission to a CSU campus with junior standing and priority consideration for admission to similar programs across the system.
